For the first time, Barbican author Miranda Miller has looked to her own life experiences to fuel her fiction. The result is When I Was, a remarkable tale of childhood in 1950s London. Here, she talks about the memories of family and friends that inspired the setting and characters of her story.
Miranda will be launching her book at The Owl Bookshop on Kentish Town Road on Tuesday 18th March. She’ll be in conversation with Barbican’s own Maggie Hamand and will be signing copies of the book. Doors open at 6pm, so come along to this FREE EVENT if you can!
When I Was will be published on 20th March and is available for pre-order now.
