Sam Lee is a 29-year-old writer from Canada, but she has called the Dominican Republic home since she was six. At age eight she started an all-girl rock band, Crush, opening for her fatherās band across island gigs. In her pre-teens she started playing bass and writing her own material, now touring globally as a bass player/singer in the alt-rock band Still Eighteen. Other passions are snowboarding, or making tiny cactuses out of clay for no apparent reason. A Trail of Blood on the SnowĀ is her first published novel.
